In the last class, we did poster presentation about bioethics.
I haven't finished my own presentation, but I heard 4 presentations in the last class.
So, I answered two questions which Chiris asked us to answer on our own blog.
1. How did this exercise help you improve your communication skills?
I think eye contact is important for the situation that we want to tell someone some information.
All of presenters I heard presentations had a good eye contact. In addition, audience also need eye contact. When they hear some presentation, they need to be interested in it and show this attitude to a presenter.
2.What advice can you give class mates about poster design?
I heard 4 presentation, Shinichiro, Kodai, Hitomi and Miku.
Shinichiro- your poster is colorful and creative!
using many colors make your poster attractive.
but it had better decrease letters to be more simple.
Kodai-results of your interiew are easy to understand by using charts.
And your poster shows flow of your interview clearly.
but it had better add information about your interviewees.
Hitomi-using color is good!
and amounts of information is appropriate for your presentation.
it had better device in using visuals.
Miku- your poster show connections between each questions.
And you use visuals effectively.
it had better leave more space to show your result more clearly.
Thank you for your presentations!
I will do my best in the next class...

Interviews on Teenagers' abortion
In the last class, I made four questions for my presentation. My topic is "teenagers' abortion in Japan". So I tried to ask these questions for high school students who are my friends.
In this winter vacation, I interviewed three boys and three girls who are all high school students by e-mail because I did not have enough time to see them. However, each of them gave me interesting answers because each of them have different ideas for abortion. Especially, there are many differences between boys and girls.
I will show what they have opinions about abortion in my presentation, but today, I am also interested in your ideas about my topic "teenagers' abortion in Japan".
So, if you want, please think about these questions and respond me!!
1. What images do you have about "Abortion"?
2.At first, you have a girl friend(A boy friend). If you (or your girl friend) get pregnant now, which do you decide, abortion or childbirth? Why?
3.Do you think you have enough knowledge about sexual issues? Why or why not?
4.What do you think the present condition that it is easy for children to access some materials including sexual expression?
Thanx!

Interviews on Bioethics-HW1214
In order to practice interview skills in a particular format, I interviewed Mizuki who is my classmate in the last CM class. I asked him the question, " If you could genetically engineer your child, would you do so? Why or why not?"
His answer is "Yes". The reason why he want to genetically engineer his child is that his child can have good abilty in study or sports. In addition, he expects this technology to avoid band deseases. Because of these reasons, he thinks that genetically engineering his child is useful.

Teenagers' Pregnancy
Thank you for visiting my CM Winter term Blog.
Last Friday, I wrote that I am interested in Death Penalty.
However, as I try to choose an essay topic in ARW class, I am interested in another topic, teenage pregnancy and abortion.
Recently, I think the number of teenagers' pregnancy is increasing even in developed countries, such as Japan and the United States. I think teenagers' pregnancy includes some problems. For example, teenagers couple cannot have responsibilities to grow up their baby because of finantial problems and social problems. They cannot grow up their baby without their parents' support.
As a result of increasing the number of teenagers' pregnancy, teenagers' abortion is also a problem recently.
In addition, I feel it is the problem in Japan to appear books and comicbooks which draw teenagers' romance. There are sometimes sexual scenes in these books and comicbooks. And not only teenagers but also elementary school students are interested in these books and they read them.
I am afraid of this situation that even elementary school students have oppurtunities to read such books or comicbooks because elementary school students are often lack of knowledge about sexual aspects.

What I am interested in...
Hi Everyone! Thank you for visiting my blog.
One of what I am interested in about bioethics is Death Penalty.
I think there are many discussions about death penalty all over the world. Some people agree with death penalty because they think people who commit a terrible crime should cover their crime by their own lives. On the other hand, others disagree with death penalty because even though someone commit a terrible crime, they are human beings whose lives are essential for the world.
I think death penalty should be stopped because our lives should be regarded equally. In addition, I think we should think about other ways to deal with offenders in order to convince victims without death penalty.
I am also interested in defferences of ideas about bioethics between religions.
I am a Chrishtian, so my ideas about bioethics are affected by Christian ideas. So I want to know other religions' ideas and how they have influences on people.
